Nahal Dominicé was born in Tehran and raised in Geneva. Growing up between cultures shaped both her identity and her approach to painting.

She lives and works in London, where she creates abstract works that integrate colour, texture, and memory. Painting is a way for her to express herself freely, explore emotions, and reconnect with her cultural roots.

Her practice is built around layering and experimentation. Working with oil, acrylic, and mixed media, she builds her paintings gradually, adding, scraping back, and rebuilding, allowing the work to evolve intuitively rather than following a fixed plan. Inspired by patterns, fabrics, and landscapes linked to her heritage, her work balances structure and spontaneity, tradition, and exploration.
